I thought of this, also, and agree... I guess that the Mahendo'sat are just
backbiting enough to be similar to us, kkkkkkt? We almost got the equivalent
of a stsho book in _Chanur's Legacy_, and I thought that it was effective.

Has anyone read any of Cherry
h's more recent books _and_ read _Legacy_? I'd like to hear a stylistic
comparison across her genres-- _Legacy_ seemed much more light-hearted and
reflective, and I'm wondering if that's Hilfy's perspective (very screwed up,
but trying hard anyhow) or a trend in Cherryh's writing.

Oh-- and a message from a friend of mine, to y'all:

t'ca stsho kif mahendo'sat	hani
human human human human human
Earth Earth Earth Earth Earth
peace peace peace peace peace
give give give give give

Y'all should have _seen_ the matrix it took to explain Christmas to him :>
